Awake most of the night worrying about boys return as no phone call. Decided I needed to blow cobwebs away so took out old Avalanche and rode to Carols to deliver coaching nots, then onto Low Ickenthwaite.

Continue along bridleway until reached tarmac farm track.

Drop down onto back road on East side of Coniston. Lowick & Low Hall Farm road back into Ulverston.
Battleaxe4 - Reston Scar & Craggy Wood from Wilfs at Stavley.
Cleared Reston Scar and ran out of time on 2nd hill - 18 controls out of 20 and 6mins deduction.
Then lost Eva & Bethan for an extra hour! And they didn't even find 1 control.
Long effort with Sel. Coniston, Old Man, Dow Crag, Reservoir, Grey Friar, Swirl How, Wetherlam, Coniston. Big wind on the ridges and swirling cloud but fortunately no rain. Soup & rhubarb crumble in the cafe afterwards, happy days.

Battleaxe3 on Claife South. Poor run - legs felt very heavy after being out with Selwyn.
British Champs Wharncliffe. Decidedly average run making mistakes at #1 & big #4 (0.5m boulder in brashings!) before not executing either long leg well.
Out around Duddon Valley with Selwyn Wright. Caw & White Pike climbed in an hour in drifting rain & cloud. Then dropped into valley towards High Tongue around Grassguards, Low Crag, Wallowbarrow, Newfield Inn and climbed back to car. Rained on and off most of day. Sore hamstrings again.
TS Hav Play Fields. 2 lap warm up - teams of 3 rolling chase & recovery for 5-7mins, then recovery, then static shuttles in teams of 3 for 7mins - 2 lap warm down.
