He reminded me that my left Achilles is calcified and that I probably need to apply the Alfredson protocol (heel drops) consistently.

Very cold clear day - hard frost. Slow shuffle down to Tennis Centre to see Rachel on Duathon set up.

Tennis Centre down to Ropewalk and back in. Shuffle as slow as a walk :-(.

Lightburn road, down to Ropewalk, back to Swimming Pool & home.
Slow shuffle trying to go faster than a walk without taking vast lungfulls of cold air.
Left side of ribs felt uncomfortable without there being any pain.

Note

Down to the pool for an early swim. Managed to fall climbing into the pool onto my left side. Not happy. Managed to climb out and get changed but drive home was interesting as so difficult to change gear with left arm.

Rang Rachel who came to the rescue and ferried me down to A & E. X-Ray confirmed I have broken a rib and not just being a wimp. Sat on the sofa feeling sorry fr myself, and trying not to laugh, cough, get hiccups, etc. :-(
