US sprint Champs. Well I did not see the trail off from No. 4 to 5 on a short short leg. I lost a minute there and a US champ Gold Medal.

Walk 1:23:50 [2] 6.2 mi (13:31 / mi)

10K Race and my ribs hurt so bad, I could only walk and jog a little till it hurt so bad. I quit and started walking back to the finish when I turned around and decided to just walk the 6.2 miles . This guy jogging real slow asked me at about the mile mark if I was walking or running. I said not sure and my walk was his jog pace and we had an excellent conversation for the nex t4.5 miles. Turned out he was a retired school teacher, had been to Allendale for a follow up on a couple of kids and has taught at a camp, orienteering before :),,,, you know the compass stuff without a map.
We moved at about 13:30 pace. Nice day and of course Clark had his usual run in with a fat lady hoging up the wide trail. luckey i did not see any of that cause it gets embarsseing when people at races come up to Clark mad cause he bumped them out of the way in his mad attempt to finish the race in a great time.
I finished up 90/91 in my age group. Could someone be slower than I or more hurt. Anyway no more hard physical activities or restraints except some biking the next couple of days.

Road Riding 55:00 [2] 10.0 mi (5:30 / mi)

After a long day of brush clearing and a sunny day it was time to head out for a short ride and test out the cracked/ sore rib. I will still race tomorow, though it might be slower than normal.
