Orienteering race (QB3 day 3) 17:04 [3] 2.67 km (6:23 / km) +11m 6:16 / km
shoes: Brooks GTS18-1

WSU MacArthur Campus - Hard 2a (M55A)
Lying second to Undy by 8 odd mins before this so had I had to do was have a steady run and avoid a MP. Managed both despite losing a minute on 13 where I didn't see the obvious route choice and had to run around the OOB hedge to the north.

Overall a great 3 days of orienteering in three very different areas.

Orienteering race (QB3 day 2) 43:13 [3] 6.04 km (7:09 / km) +104m 6:35 / km
shoes: Inov8 212 (black & red)

Arthursleigh Mt Pleasant - Hard 5 (M55A)
Thought I had had a good run so was disappointed to come 4th after Simon. Minor time losses at 3 where I first went to the gully to the west and 9 where I contoured around too low so had to work my way up the gully. Very fast area, so long as you didn’t get lost, Tony blitzed the field in just over 32 mins.

The Piggery - Hard 2 (M55A)
Great use of an area that most people would claim is over used. Lots of short legs with change of direction in the rocky sections with a couple of termite mounds thrown in for good measure. Always a joy to run here as it’s so soft underfoot. Finished 4th, may even move up depending on which finish control people punched.

Running 1:03:01 [3] 10.99 km (5:44 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS18-1

Hadn’t run since Saturday so thought it best I do a lunchtime run rather than intervals this evening. Sneaked out for a longer one, down to De Burghs, along GNW to Browns waterhole then back via Mac Uni.
