Beyond Rocklea - Hard Long
Family trip to Belanglo for the SHOO local event. Took the track around to 1 but still missed the control as things were greener than mapped so had to relocate off the fence and pond. Another mistake at 2 where I hit the track too far north and found a gully which wasn't mine. On the wrong side of the spur at 3 but managed to reloacte before launching down the slope. Came across Paula, Simon, Ewan and a couple of others looking for 5 which was 200m SW of where it was marked. Conservative route choices to 8 and 9 relying on tracks too much (need top take a leaf out of Simon's book and be brave and have confidence in my bearings). Second Highland Forest Series for me this year and both have had misplaced controls. Despite that it is good to support a small club putting on bush events.
