Tagging control sites at Mitchell Park for tomorrow's training session.

Ah I forgot to mention I had a certain young lady with me who wasn't too impressed with the idea of trailing around the bush, at least the tags are tied in bows!

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series 8) 45:33 [4] 8.86 km (5:08 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 17 (blue)

Manly with an M Dash (wtf?)
Thought it wise to pick up the ten 10 pointers in Ivanhoe Park (mapped at 1:2,500) before launching into the course proper. Up the hill 14,13 then down to 30 before heading back up to 25, 28 and 21 then 12, 27 and 24, lost time by not doubling back to 17, down to lagoon 20,19, 29, 28, wade across lagoon to 22, across beach to 26, 17 (again!!!, only just realised) along to 16 then finish. 33 secs late so 520 overall. Would have been early if I hadn't visited 17 twice, may even had time for 26 with a small penalty.

Running 1:10:11 [2] 9.55 km (7:21 / km)

Breakfast run from Fedor's & Marina's in Balmoral. Up over Military Rd and down to Little Sirius Cove then round bush tracks past Bradley's Head to St. George's Height finishing down the stairs to Balmoral oval. Very sociable as there were eight of us, consequenty the pace was a very leisurely.
