R Achilles tight (not sore) first thing. Just a reaction to the massge which was concentrated on the left calf maybe? Or possibly as a result of having to jog in my bogtrotters yesterday to get to the cows before any more kids were gored?

Just did the easy ones around the start and finish area because I gave Mikey the bramble patch to do;-)

Digley. Very easy to test out calves. OK running but still tender to touch.

Calf massage with Richard. Apparently my calves were like lumps of wood. My left one in particular gave him a good workout. It'll be sore for a couple of days but hopefully better in the long run.

Reading Poo Boy's log has reminded me I need to take care. I'm not running again until calf feels normal. Massage booked with Richard for tomorrow as luckily he had a cancellation.

From Kirkburton whilst mountain bike undergoing major surgery. Storthes Hall via an exploratory loop of Carr Wood, Stocksmoor, Stone Wood and back through Shelley Wood. Left calf a bit suspect: the odd twinge but nothing too serious. Just doesn't feel quite right and is worrying me. Maybe a massage called for.
Mountain bike was in a very sorry state. I'd worm right through the metal of 3 out of 4 brake pads and hence damaged my callipers. No wonder it was squealing so much at the weekend!

Golf. Pro's mid week comp. First time on winter course. 35 stableford points, but eclipsed by Andy's 42 (77 gross). Happy nethertheless. New shoes now comfortable (and waterproof!).
