Note
(injured) (rest day)

Calf more sore again today, presumably as a result of my fast walk yesterday.

Orienteering 49:00 [1] 3.0 mi (16:20 / mi)
(injured)

Walk round 1st leg of M165+ relay (4.3km). Somehow managed to beat about 15 people back! Calf a bit sore doing this but I'm intending to try the Tim Tett rehabilitation technique, ie gradually build up whilst ignoring the pain (within reason). The theory being that the muscle dosn't get clogged up with scar tissue I think. We'll see...

Note
(injured)

5 km walk to/from Assembly area. Calf a bit better.

Note
(injured)

Calf very sore this morning particularly on stairs. No chance of running.
So that's 3 JKs in a row missed through injury. Time to stick to golf?

Event: JK 2014

12 PM

Orienteering race 15:12 [4] 2.0 mi (7:36 / mi)

JK Sprint. M50 2.4km 50m.
Calf tore after about 5 mins. Hobbled on in increasing pain. Ice afterwards. Grr....
This is despite a massage with Richard last week and another 10 mins sports massage at the event before running. Weekend over. If I'm sensible. ..

Orienteering 45:00 [1] 2.5 mi (18:00 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 X-Talon

JK training, Mynydd Llangatwg.
Walked round 9 controls whilst the rest of the family trained properly. Very easy to keep to your bearings at this speed but still useful to see what was mapped and what wasn't. The odd twinge from my calf keeping me concerned about what will happen at the weekend.
