Cycling 1:45:00 [2] 28.0 mi (3:45 / mi)
(injured)

Cycled from our Travelodge at Hatfield to the event at Epping Forest. Had about an hour before the rain arrived. Lost my intended route around the same time and ended up with an unpleasant end to the ride along the busy A121.

Note
(injured)

Started with the heel-raise exercises. Two-footed to start with, 3x10 sets. No pain.

Cycling 55:00 [2] 12.0 mi (4:35 / mi)
(injured)

Decided to take my mountain bike down to London as I couldn't race. Parked at Cockfosters (end of the Piccadilly Line) and cycled in to Temple whilst the family used the tube. I won.
4 PM

Cycling 1:00:00 [2] 13.0 mi (4:37 / mi)
(injured)

After watching the race and doing some sightseeing, I raced the family back to Cockfosters starting from Buckingham Palace. I won again.
Interesting experience cycling in central London; not sure how long I'd live if I had to do it regularly. Definitely the best way to get around though.

Note
(injured)

Bad news again! Achilles was sore again this morning. Not as bad as after the last attempt at running, but not good.
Physio session. A little disappointing how long Janine seems to be taking to get to bottom of my problem, but I think she is getting there. Today she had a theory that running with orthotics for years is the root cause and treated me accordingly. She's now give me some eccentric heel raise exercises to do on the stairs (at last), although not until the achilles settles down again. No running until I can do these with no reaction.

Trail running 10:00 [3] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
(injured)

Achilles has been feeling OK for a while now so thought I'd try a very easy run. It was a bit sore but not too bad and didn't get worse or feel sore afterwards. As ever though, the real test is how it feels in the morning.

Road bike 1:45:00 [2] 28.0 mi (3:45 / mi)
(injured)

Anti-clockwise loop of the west side of the Forest of Bowland, incl the Trough from the steep side. Lovely little route; I'll have to stop and do this on my way to Kendal more often.
