A nice easy warm up with PL prior to the meet. Ran in and around Lac Philippe campground. A bit cool to start... fall is here.

Last minute decision to do this event and PL was able to come along for the ride. Been a long time since I have been on a map. Overall I was pleased with how it went. Bobbled the first one as my mind wasn't quite in the 1:10K maps but after that was okay. Route selection could have been a bit better in a couple spots but most importantly always was in contact with the map.

Bike to and from work.

Had a 'fun run' at work to raise funds for GCWCC but everyone takes it pretty seriously and goes all out... so that's what I did. Hung with the lead guy until Pretoria bridge but couldn't hang on after that. Finished 3rd but I think they apply a handicap system to it or the two guys in front of me weren't eligible. Either way I won. About 17 seconds slower than last year.

Laurier Bridge to Pretoria and back. Windy going out nice coming back.

Lower calves were still a bit tender yesterday after the rocking and rolling of Saturday's race so I doused them with cold water last night in the shower and they feel a lot better today (and it is one day removed from the race...). Nice ride in.

Saw a sow and a cub on the way to the run.

W/U. Prologue around Fortune Lake followed by 6 (?) hill (800m - ish) repeats. Thought I counted 7 but not sure. Legs felt a little sluggish on the prologue but felt really good throughout the hill session.
