In fact around 1979, the year I started doing orienteering, 99% of maps were more accurate, when no one knew of Lidar, aerial photos etc
Last time I had similar "feelings" on/after the course was back when I saw JJ on that ominous island with a lighthouse.
Pointless to talk about crazy things I did yesterday on the course.
Long ago we had in my hometown a similar map, and my then-comrade Sergey Dan'kov used to say "To be fine here you must run 5 min per km , for once you stop and start comparing --- you are in a big trouble"
