Orienteering race 1:11:47 [5] 7.2 km (9:58 / km)
shoes: INOV8 Talon 200

Nice course with the exception of my "off the map" move going to #7. Lost about 18 mins on that SP. From #7 to finish I had fastest time of all green runners. No doubt because I was well rested from trying to find myself on my route to #7 and because at that point, I was generally pissed at myself. I connected with the map perfectly from #7 on and ran all out (little misdirection going to #11)

Rough start on the first 3 Controls. Other than that I felt a bit tired. Never really got a feel for the map. Headed out the wrong direction to #2 and lost 70 seconds. Heading to #3 the map seemed off with thick beds of thorns mapped as light green. Shoe came untied on way to #3 as well. Stopped to turn on GPS. Ugghhh. After #3 found my way

Quite windy and too much mud. I wore my low impact (no traction) shoes and that was a big mistake. Left the trail for Grass Sprints
