Great fun, apart from the thistles. No wonder the Scots were saved from the Vikings (or the Scottish castle saved from the Danes, depending on whom you believe).
Molly designed two courses: the first in the shape of the constellation Leo, and the second in the shape of the astrological sign, Leo.
Forgot my Garmin. Getting pretty tired by the last part of the 2nd course. And had real trouble on one control - brain not working...
And of course the food and Trad after wards was great also. Thanks Andree for organizing this!

Carburn Park: good sprint training, but tiring towards the second half. Especially when Clarence passed me! Enough detail in the wooded areas to make it interesting. Couldn't stay still due to the mosquitoes.
Birthday training and beer on Saturday for all us Le'O's!

strong gusty north wind. Did 10 x 1 minute intervals along the trail so up and down. Pace varied from 3:59 to 5:37.

Felt better than Friday despite not sleeping well last night. Muggy and overcast. Took old 1:15,000 map of Nose Hill and went places I don't normally go on my run. Also determined by number of dogs! Waist high grass and thistles in places. 1 minute up hill intensity towards end.
