Running 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: Montrail Diablo

I had a long run scheduled, but I am begining to see that I can't run as much as I would like. I am going to have to build up to my optimum level of running in a week. A long hike on Saturday doesn't help my running but it doesn't hurt my endurance either. I am going to be forced to do some cross training.

Running 45:00 [2]

Running before and after my tempo run. It was the muddiest run ever! The unusually warm weather in bozeman has led to some trecherous conditions. I felt strong, and I feel like my heart rate is back to its normal range.

Running (Tempo) 21:00 [3]

My first tempo run in quite a while, I wanted to get my HR a bit higher but I really couldn't because of the muddy conditions. All in all a great run.

Core Work 20:00 [3]
(rest day)

Some core before bed, had planned on more but needed a break. I forgot my FIT ball at home, so I am going to have to plan on going to the gym more often.

Physical Activity (Racquetball) 45:00 [1]

Playing racquetball with some friends. A bit lacking for a workout, I feel fully rested and ready for some real training this coming week, should be interesting. Really played for an hour and a half

Ran up Pete's Hill after racquetball. My legs were a bit tired from the hike. Rest day tomorrow and then some training! Feels good to be back in Bozeman, and with a great trail network and plenty of enthusiasm.

Physical Activity 2:00:00 [2]

A GREAT hike in the Bridgers. I hiked with three friends up to the M above town and then hiked along the ridge for about 3 miles, with 3500 ft of climb. Great views, a beautiful and warm day in Montana. I took a topo with me for some training and worked on some general simplification. Really hiked for about 5 hours but will claim 2 hrs of training.

Running with map on the Sourdough trail south of Bozeman. Legs felt a bit tired. I need to do some core work.

Physical Activity 40:00 [2]

A bit of Racquetball. Played pretty well, it is nice to have activities besides running. I will look at some elliptical training as well.

A nice low intensity with a triathaloner, up and over Pete's hill. I am feeling more rested than I have been in months... A good sign.

Just some easy running after classes with map. I have been really overtrained this winter, and will be running easily this week.

Running (Warm up) 10:00 [2]

Trying to really focus mentally on the orienteering today. I was focused on racing today, whereas I will be focused on training tomorrow. This racing plan follows with my focus on the middle event at JWOC. Good mental prep and technical warm up as well. The foundation was set for a good race.

Walking with some kids from the La Porte at Eric's training session. Everyone seemed to learn quite a bit and all were excited by the end.
