Cannon Mountain.
I read somewhere that elderly (65+) NH residents can get a midweek season pass for $39. Realizing I'd wasted a whole week of my senior time not having one, today was the day.
Sunny most of the drive up, then there was this pesky cloud hung up on the summit of Cannon, which stayed there the whole time of my visit. Overcast on the lower part of the mountain, in the cloud on the upper part.
What a maze of trails! Some trails you could start down and know you were still on it most of the way down. Others had forks and connectors and closed off sections and snowmaking which reduced visibility to zero...
Found some of the 'expert' trails, which meant "Hey, these aren't groomed - expect moguls, loose powder in inconvenient spots and ice patches - some of which have just a thin layer of powder over them."
One good wipeout - going through a snowgun cloud, which hid a drop off, which had some loose crap and ruts just below it. Got my skis tangled, flipped and landed on my shoulder (sore but still mostly functional). Wipeout was still in the snowcloud, so took a minute to figure out which way was up.
