More running around the Carye Woods for fun - found some more neat areas. Some so-so swathes, semi-bland hillside with sporadic rocks and a lot of ferns so you can't see the ground too well, some logged areas with moderate amounts of slash still laying around, although some logged areas had very little slash.

Cutting back brush ferns, etc from part of the access trail into the Carye Woods - got maybe half of it done. Also needs some branches cut back. Need to check if there's a way across the marshy area without going all the way around. Would be nice to nice a beaver dam anchored to both sides - may be easier to find in winter when I can get out on snowshoes and cruise over the wetness and muck.

Short run with base map in the closer parts of Carye Woods - sun getting close to the horizon and my headlamp is back at home. Explored a semi-bland hillside with a few scattered rocks, over a fern covered marsh and onto a neat hilltop area. Found the trail and headed back in.
