Got the 8.27 54 bus to Petersfield (£4.90 for an hour's ride through the national park!) then went after the five Turf zones in the town: 4 were fine but the 5th was on private property. After two hours set off for home on the classic route via SDW, Compton, Locksash, Stoughton. Beaut day and dry underfoot, but wore Inov8s and had to cope with a couple of blisters. Coffee and coke at the tea rooms (£3.60); pint of HSB in the Park (£5.90 with crisps).
