Met Lu in North Meadow, Cricklade, 12 miles into her Long Run Home, and accompanied her to Castle Eaton at mile 17. Delightful jog through lush meadows, although the long grass a nuisance in places. Warm and humid but nice breeze.

My favourite time of day. Joined Lu again at Lechlade for the home leg (miles 23-7) of her first (of 7!) marathons. More grassy meadows, gates, bridges, and two locks, to Kelmscott. The river already a fairly substantial entity by this point. It was good a) not to be carrying a rucksack, b) to have comparatively fresh legs, and c) to be part of Lu's big adventure.

Midsummer parkrun. Beautiful morning. What joy. Easy warm up, was focussed on posture rather than effort. Shoulder was tightening by the end but I'd saved a bit for last lap and I don't think I was hampered. Lower back was encouraging but there is ever such a long way to go to rehab. Started comfortable, relaxed on second lap and went for it on third. Third mile split same as first so time was a bit quicker than usual. 'New record' according to Garmin.
