Was only going to do one Bosham extension but did one on second lap too as it was in danger of becoming a time trial. May be why I slipped into the red before the finish? Stopped for ice cream (Kellys!) at Bosham, drink at West Stoke, and sandwich and coke at Westbourne, but found last lap hard going. Flats felt like hills in the breeze and my wrists were extremely tired. Any more would have been done through gritted teeth. But it was well over 60 miles. Lap times were 1.20, 1.40, 1.44.

After last week's harum scarum start today's plan was to go off steady and concentrate on a good stride. Still lost a few places on 2nd and 3rd laps, but had no trouble with right hip and was able to jog aferwards once I was over fatigue. Hot.
