Wouldn't have done parkrun as couldn't get rid of cold, probably because I haven't rested. But was going to do this anyway: one of SO's best little areas. Wore parkrun trail shoes. Eyes were ok but back iffy. Biggest handicap, though, was the remains of the virus, which left me short of breath from the first hill. Could feel the parkrun fitness despite this, especially running with some of the others. Made a strong and confident start, and had actually stretched the minute Lu had given me to 2 by the time we left the open. But missed 14 in the circle (distracted by others) and my advantage was over. I got caught at 16 after taking the safer route round and leading her in, and after that she pulled away. Pretty pleased on the whole with the way it went, and relieved to discover, despite everything, I can still do it. Parham is on 17 March.
