Nice change. Rather than the scheduled 17 miles I thought it might be better to do this then throttle back to 11 tomorrow. Then step it up next week. Lancing's mostly runnable. Back was very sore (from cycling?) when I got up but a magic tablet made all the stiffness melt away. Had two goals really, to get round without a dumb mistake and to finish feeling fresh enough for a run tomorrow. So nice and steady was the plan. Was ropey to 1 and pretty much throughout but I did well minimizing risk and flags came up eventually without two much wasted effort. Had a slight problem with the 1:5 scale and the purple overprint (same colour as contours). Couldn't often see where to go next. Overtook a whole bunch of people on a pretty technical course, but was nowhere special compared to the regulars. Enjoyed it though and atmosphere was v pleasant.
