Too nice a day not to. With Jan and Champers from Springhead Hill to Barpham Hill, then Wepham, Burpham, South and North Stoke, Amberley, and SDW to finish. Good mix of farmland, woodland, riverside and Downs, and a nice pint at the George.

Recced the other 'half' of the Three Forts with Lu. Parked under Steep Down then ran via Coombes and Botolphs to Truleigh hill, stopping occasionally to wait for Lu. Then out and back to Devils Dyke Road, after which point the early troublesome headwind was behind us. Ran the return quite hard so legs were a bit jelly-like by the time we crossed back over the Adur. Tailwind helped on the long slog up Annington, and was fresh enough at the top to run a lap which enabled me to complete the entire route recce. Felt pretty good throughout and really enjoyed it again. No niggles and the running almost everywhere good. I don't feel as if I've actually 'trained' for the event in two weeks time, but I hope I've done enough to give me a) a taste of how hard it will be, and b) the confidence that I can do it justice.
