Trail run (SDR recce run) 40:00 [4] 8.0 km (5:00 / km)

Saddlescombe to Adur Crossing, leg 7. Very glad to have this leg as the running is mostly very good, on short grass. There's a steady hill to start, then two shorter sharper ones up to Truleigh Hill. All well graded and very runnable though. Was at the top in 26 minutes so running downhill steadily for 14 minutes to the changeover. Very cold and the wind was a problem in places.

Trail run (Recce run reversed) 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (7:30 / km)

Turned straight round and jogged back with Jan. Had a tailwind for some of the uphills so ran them hard-ish to work out heart and lungs for next Sunday. Traces of cold mostly gone and felt pretty good given time on feet in very cold air.

Road run (Summersdale and South Str) 33:31 [5] 8.0 km (4:11 / km)

Was meant to be intensity 4 as I'm not quite over my cold. But once I got going I got into the usual groove. Wasn't the quickest time but I was still pretty chesty. Felt alright, which, four days into a cold, is a good recovery for me.
