It was a long way to go on a cold day, but I had the perfect company and the area is a very good one. Wasn't disappointed either. Planning was excellent, courses challenging and enjoyable throughout, the sun managed to come out a bit, and we all had reasonable runs. I managed to do again what I did at the JK, though, and get two parallel tracks confused on the long leg. I was running hard so when I realised I wasn't where I thought I was became quite despondent and didn't know what to do. Lost a good 5 minutes on 9 and an otherwise decent result. I orienteered pretty well for 18 of the 21 controls but was a bit scrappy near 1 and very careless on the fast downhill leg to 17 which I overshot as a result of poor visualisation. Lost 2 more mins here. Mostly pleased with the way it went though, and felt fairly fit still even though I was carrying an incipient cold.
