Dreadful weather, cold and raining. But felt great from the moment I pulled my shoes on, combination of weight loss and rest over last couple of days. Flew round first short lap and felt strong through second. Had to ease off for most of third and last but finish came up soon, and I was chuffed to be ahead of people who'd been ahead of me at Henfield and out of sight earlier in the year. Proper cross-country course, with mud worsening as lap count climbed. Provisional results are all cocked up, but I reckon I was 13th League finisher so racked up first 10 point score. Exhilarated, if freezing cold. Next up: CSC Final, OMM, November Classic, then Brighton 10k.

Was sad to miss Rivers Wood, but wanted to give myself best possible shot at tomorrow's final FRL race of the season.

Had to go to Waterstones to do a stock pick. Library was closed for a meeting so took the opportunity to get another bike ride in. Can drive tomorrow now, and squeeze a run in before dinner.
