Walk (Round Rowhook) 4:30:00 [3] 18.0 km (15:00 / km)

Brisk walk with Jan thro Hermongers, Honeybush and Monks Farms, then Okewood Hill to pub at Walliswood. Return via Rose Hill and Charmans Farm. Watched a newly-born calf struggling to get to its feet while being licked all over by its mum.

Road run (Barns Green Half route) 50:00 [5] 12.0 km (4:10 / km)

Ran the second part of the BG Half with the Flyers. Was with CW for three brisk (and pretty undulating) miles, then with four to go very very gradually increased pace to see where comfort threshold was. The monotonous slap of feet on unwinding tarmac was a familiar if now remote feeling. Left calf tightened, but back was OK, and I was still strong at the end. Good 10k workout I'd have struggled to get out for without the company. So thx FF!

Proper wintry weather on way back. Got soaked. Glad I was cycling though, as there was a traffic jam from work to home!

Warm up (Jog to Oaklands and back) 13:00 [3] 3.0 km (4:20 / km)

Was too wet for trainers so put spikes on and went for a hills session in Oaklands Park. Felt pretty good actually (after another bad work day). What's the matter with Tuesdays?
