None of the snow of the Winter Tanners, unfortunately, so plenty of gloopy paths, but at least the sun was shining and it was fairly warm! Knew this wasn't going to be an eyeballs out affair as it would be extremely important to keep map contact with the millions of minor paths. In the event, any misses were minor (30 secs max) but effort was fairly conservative. Didn't catch anyone ahead or get caught by any behind. Got a bit caught in grot on straight line route to 1 so used paths for 2 and pretty much thereafter. Just looked in wrong place for pits at 2 and 12 and went to wrong trees at 10 and 19. Was otherwise secure and result was OK. Good day, excellent company, and a solid win for SO with some encouraging junior performances.
