Hickory Run - Sand Springs Lake: an OK effort, except for losing contact with the map on #'s 6 & 7. Sandy victorious, Ed ahead - then loses glasses, the usual. Beautiful day in the woods.

OK - since so much of my Smedley runs are in a loop, one that I've been thinking was 1.55 miles (per Garmin averages), I wheeled it at 8519' or 1.613 mi. So I'm thinking that I need to adjust everything a little, and will use, from now on: 3.7mi. for the back and forth that is NOT loop, and 1.6 mi. for the loop. Thus Thursday's run was 14.9mi - and I'll now go retroactively change on that day's workout. OK? Reasonable?

75F 52% - Went a little longer. Water in the woods. Messing with bottle 2x took about 90 sec. total. Goo, Nunn. Wanted to see if there was a possibility of running a 50km on October 4th. Preliminary conclusion: not enough time to prepare. Pretty tired after less than half the distance. I'll huddle with coach, but just now, after run, feel as if it would be too long for an acceptable effort. Oh: since I knew Garmin would stop, I simply timed things, using Garmin distances worked out previously. I'm pretty sure I'm not LONG on the estimates - maybe a little short. Same guess on elevation.
