Orienteering race 1:06:48 [4] 3.9 km (17:08 / km)

Fun race on Andrew’s new park/subdivision map from Colonel By HS. Fairly simple navigation but lots of climb on the slippery ravines. Gloria beat me by a couple of minutes but we walked most of the course together. She ran away from me on the last 2 controls.

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [3]

A gentle but strenuous on-line class this morning. Abs took a beating.

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [3]

A fairly strenuous S&S with Stu this morning. Pulled back on the cardio moves as my energy level was not very strong.

golfing - walking 1:55:00 [3] 3.7 km (31:05 / km)

This is the first time that I have included a round of golf in my exercise program. But it is walking, and me and my buddies keep up a good pace when we are not stopping to whack the ball. The total distance includes the walks into the woods to find the ball. : )

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [2]

Starting to get back into a regular S&S class routine after several weeks off with the traveling and bike injuries. Can finally put weight on the knee to do the exercises from the hand/knee position.

Walking 1:02:00 [2] 5.4 km (11:29 / km)

Another nice walk in the warm rain on the Revelstoke loop.
The leg cramping (claudication) from the peripheral artery blockage is not getting any worse. I might have adapted a bit over the last few months. I plan to push the leg striding a bit to get ready for the ski season.
Climbing hills is the toughest part - the calf muscles take a big hit. I only had to stop a couple of times while orienteering - usually on the long path walking legs when I was trying to "push it".

Walking 55:00 [1]

A pleasant walk in the pouring rain down the river to check out the construction on the rail bridge and pedestrian bridge to Carleton U.

Stretch & Strength 25:00 [1]

Didn't do anything exercise-like on Monday. Nice 9 holes on Tuesday with the usual gang in the afternoon and then a good stretch session at home. I think I will start logging the golf - it is good exercise, especially the number of times I swing and metres I walk back and forth across the fairways. ; )
