Short walk, some snow shovelling, and a good set of stretches.

Friday Dec 21, 2018 #

Walking 30:00 [1]

Short walk to stretch my legs.

Snowshoeing 58:00 [1]

Mostly walking without snowshoes on the hard-packed trails. Tracked the SS trails to the east of the powerline for an updated and georeferenced SS map. Plus 1 and calm. Very enjoyable.

Walking 1:01:00 [1]

Minus 2 and no wind so it was very pleasant. Calf was OK - never really cramped. Stopped to stretch lightly twice.

Stationary Bike 59:00 [3]
ahr:115 max:128

Maybe I overdid it a bit - was pretty stiff getting off the bike.
Good stretch afterwards. (15 min)

Weight Training 15:00 [2]

4X10 sets on the lats pulldown and the chest - press

Walking 30:00 [1]

Still feeling weak. Bit of s sore throat, low energy. Was going to go skiing but backed out Good stretch after the walk. At least there are no muscle aches like a flu.

Walking 30:00 [1]

Feeing on edge, like a cold is waiting to burst out. So I tool it easy.

Weight Training 15:00 [2]

Sets of 3X10 on the bench - bent row, arm curls, chest press.

Walking 58:00 [1]

Good walk except for almost getting run down by an idiot who tried to beat me around the corner at Walkley while I was crossing. I was ready to jump up to roll on his hood instead of him hitting me right in the legs. If the road had been slippery he would have got me.
Stopped twice to stretch the calves - that's better than average.

Saturday Dec 8, 2018 #

Weight Training 20:00 [2]

After a good stretch following the bike session, 4X10 lats pulldown and 4X10 chest press. Was more tired after this session that previous days.

Stationary Bike 46:00 [3]
ahr:118 max:128

Good spin - managing to increase the tension and the heart rate. Legs pretty stiff afterwards.

Thursday Dec 6, 2018 #

XC Skiing 54:00 [2] 7.0 km (7:43 / km)

Quick trip up to the Doldrums on a mild day. Skis were a bit slow but not as slow as my fitness. Stopped for 20 seconds 3 times to catch my breath.
I tried to keep up a good steady pace. Felt fine at the end. IOW, a didn't overdo it.

Wednesday Dec 5, 2018 #

Walking 59:00 [1]

Reasonably brisk walk of the 5 km revelstoke loop. Stopped twice to stretch out the calf/ankle. Which was less than usual. I hope that means progress but I have been fooled before.

Tuesday Dec 4, 2018 #

Weight Training 25:00 [3]

After a good stretch and 2 minute plank, I did the usual 4 x 10 lats pulldown and 4x10 chestpress.

Stationary Bike 50:00 [3]

Up in the mid 120s for 20 minutes of the session. Felt better than the easier session on Sunday. Good stretch afterwards.

Sunday Dec 2, 2018 #

Stationary Bike 45:00 [3]

Good spin watching football at the club. Legs were still stiff from the week of skiing.

Weight Training 15:00 [3]

Tried to set up a XC arm simulator on the tall cable-based pulley machines but the angle wasn’t quite right. Sets of lats pulldowns and chest presses instead.
