Thought it would be an easy class but my back thought otherwise!
My abs are obviously in need of some strengthening too. I guess the garden work yesterday didn’t help.
Upper body and lower body are strong, gotta pay more attention to the CORE.

Just a relaxing walk in the rain down the beach and back up Mt. Mooney.

A more strenuous class than usual. Must have done 50 squats/deep knee exercises. I am so stiff in the morning!
No walk or bike today just 2 hours in the garden.

The on-line class was titled "easy" but it was a workout. Back was really stiff when I got out of bed but it felt a lot better after the class.

Easy ride down the Rideau with mumsey and back again through Carleton U.
Best weather this spring - you could almost see the trees finally budding.

Missed almost half of the online S&S class due to a connection problem with YouTube. But caught most of the stretch part which was good for my hips and back.

Actually out for 2 hours. Took 15 minutes to get off our block - said hi to 7 neighbours on the way out and two more on the way back.
Met up with one old friend we had not seen in 6-7 years and then Mike and Sue on their way back from a bike ride.

Easy ride around the canal-river-Trillium route. Bike paths were very quiet for a Sunday. So very little dodging of walkers and other cyclists.
I wanted to take some photos but it was a gloomy day.

Tougher online class than the previous few days. Couldn’t complete some of the exercises, like a sit-up starting from the prone position. Yikes! Not even close. Otherwise a good top to bottom set of exercises.

Third day in a row “attending” the online class. More strength moves today. I used bands and mumsey used weights. Bands are pretty old and losing their elasticity. Will look for a couple of new sets online.

Headed south through our old neighbourhood to McCarthy woods and back by Riverside drive. Woods were quite dry and very peaceful. Met up with one family we knew in the middle of the woods and stopped for a long talk with Marketa on the way home.

Joined the online Movement Union class again this morning. Tougher than yesterday including some one leg squats - not a deep squat but still very difficult.

Cold but sunny ride down the canal to the Bytown locks, along the river, and back by the Trillium trail. Stopped several times just to enjoy the sunshine and the views. A stretch, a beer, and some online bridge for the warm-down. : )

Joined mumsey and the Movement Union instructor on Facebook for a nice set of morning stretches and strength exercises. Lots of friends have joined in as well as we all try to motivate each other “virtually”.

Cold and blustery walk with mumsey around Revelstoke. Winter has paid us another visit this week. At least it was sunny. Some pressure on the lower leg but I never had to stop.

Cool but sunny trip down the Rideau to the Queensway underpass where I made a 180 and explored the new transitway trails before heading back along the west side through the new Greystone village development, Rideau view gardens and Carleton U.

Along the river to the train bridge with mumsey then cut through the park and along the beach. Good set of stretches afterwards. Hardly a soul in the park - only a few cyclists on the bike path.

Nice ride down the canal with mumsey to the Bytown locks, along the river which is only a few cm below the top of the restraining walls, and then back via the Trillium trail and the Arboretum. Lots of walkers and other cyclists.
Joined in with 5 other neighbours in the street for a beer in a socially distant spread-out way. : )

Short walk with mumsey around the neighbourhood. Tired from a lot of yard work this afternoon. Pizza night!

Brisk walk on Revelstoke loop with a side detour down to the river. Leg behaved, only one slow-down required. Good set of stretches afterwards. 5 full push-ups and 40 sissy push-ups.

Nice sunny but cold walk with mumsey along the river to the RA and then back under the parkway near the Rev Can building. Good set of stretches afterwards.

Walk in the warm rain around Revelstoke. Only one slow-down because of the leg.

Easy ride with mumsey along the south end bike way. Lots of pauses for photos and exploring along the creek.

Lonely walk except for a few dog walkers. Cold and windy but I kept a good pace so I was actually sweating. Good set of stretches afterwards.

Nice walk on a cool and breezy day down the river to the O-train bridge.
Good pace, came close to cramping at one point but walked through it.

Full set of leg stretches, lats pulldown using dyna bands, bent over rows, 5 regular and 20 sissy pushups. Back bridge and abdominal crunches too.

Good brisk walk with mumsey on the Revelstoke loop. No traffic and no neighbours outside so no interruptions. Leg bugged me but we never stopped. Don’t think I have done that loop any faster in the past.

Been neglecting the upper body this week. So pulled out the dumbbells and did a few sets of bicep curls, lats pulldowns, shoulder presses. Good set of leg and back stretches too.

Actually 3.5 hours cleaning up the front lawn and garden. Did yak with almost every passerby. People, even strangers, are very much more friendly these days in a socially distant kind of way.
Back sore, hands sore. Don't know if this kind of exercise is beneficial or destructive. Right now it feels like the latter.

Nice ride along the river with mumsey on one of the nicest spring days so far. Put off raking the yard until tomorrow.
Took it easy and even snooped around the new condos that have just popped up off Smyth on the old seminary property. Very nice - especially the ones that have an unobstructed view of the river.
Roads were very quiet but lots of people out for a walk in the parks.

Late afternoon walk with mumsey on the Coleman loop. My pace is slowly improving with less stoppage and slow-downs. Now close to 10 min per km.
Last year it was more like 12 min/ km.

First ride of the season. Along the canal to the Bytown locks and back via the arboretum. Hundreds of people walking and cycling in the sunshine. Used the low traffic roads where the bike path was crowded.

sunny walk on the Coleman loop. Lots of spring clean-up work around the house so I wasn't feeling up to a longer walk. Lots of other walkers in the neighbourhood. Got the bikes ready for the next mild and dry day!

Another day, another walk with mumsey. Keep meeting up with lots of neighbours, at a respectable distance. Leg was bugging me for a significant part of the walk but I didn’t stop.
