Feeling tired today so a brisk walk around Revelstoke in the rain. Felt better afterwards but my energy level is still low. Need some sunshine.

Orienteering 1:10:00 [1]

Walked most of the short advanced course on the Barrens. Legs felt heavy and stiff - probably from Friday's run. Energy level was low too.
Need to get back onto my stretch and strength routine.

Long sprint in Kanata. Jogged maybe half of the course which was mostly on pavement. Not the best idea but the hip held up alright. Was just happy to "run" a course.

Checking the map and courses on the Carp Ridge North map. Lots of little updates but nothing serious. On the older part of the map there were a couple of unmarked trails and some marked ones that were grown over. Will need to review the whole network because the riders are only using the major trails.

Walking around Arnprior with theNAOC course setters and controllers checking out control sites and the map. Found a few small "new" features and several areas that need a re-view - mostly vegetation updates.

Beautiful day working on the MacNamara map with Jennie. Woods are relatively dry considering the late snow melt. Legs are stiff but hip is OK.

Beautiful day up on the Carp Ridge on the west side of the hydro line checking for an alternate way down from the north end between the big marshes. With some course planning it can be done - and enjoyable.
Was on my feet for 4.5 hours - slow walking for 3.5. Pooped!

Tough cycle down the river to the flood point and then down the canal to Pretoria. Very strong winds on the way back felt like uphill in low gear for about 25 minutes. Nice to get out on the bike paths again!

Easy ride with Mumsey on the Don Valley bikeway. Easy stretch afterwards. Still tired from yesterday's "marathon" but not sore. If I lost any weight over the last 2 days I gained it all back after a scrumptious multi-course supper at G&G's.

Long bike ride down the Don river bikeway with Jeff Collins and out to Leslie spit in Toronto harbour. Should have turned around earlier but was having a great time in the beautiful weather. While I was stretching Jeff fell asleep on the couch. I will be in bed early myself. Stiff in the knees but hip is OK.

Late evening walk around Revelstoke after a big supper at Linda's. Afraid to weigh myself. Will get the bike set up today for some long rides.

Completed the downtown section and the detail along the Madawaska. Still a fair bit of snow so will have to check a few areas for the precise curb lines. Filled in the church yards even though we may never have permission to run there. Looks like another week before I can get into the deep woods. Snuck up on a big pileated woodpecker working on a stump. Was maybe 6 feet from him - without my camera!

First beautiful day for field checking up at Arnprior. Might have finished the downtown area but got sidetracked into the park areas for a while. Enjoyed talking to a few locals and the owner of the free trade coffee shop who can make fresh sandwiches for me in the morning. Goodbye Subway and Tims.

Revelstoke loop. The wind was so cold I had to turn back and put on a tuque and warmer gloves. Feeling tired today, maybe fighting something.

Good walk along the canal to Harwell with a detour to the Post Office. Hip a little sore when I stopped. Stretched it out. Waiting for all the snow to disappear so mapping can get rolling!
