XC Skiing 2:12:00 [2]

Perfect conditions with the 15cm of new snow. The far out trails at Nakkertok were not groomed yet so we had fresh powder to ski down but fresh powder to break trail! We took turns at lead with L&B so it was fine.

Tracking the new snowshoe trails at Nakkertok. They didn’t tell me that the trails were sometimes unbroken, like 12 inches deep of soggy snow. Almost gave up but the other guys wanted to do all the new proposed trails. So I dragged my tired ass all the way around, letting them break trail when I could.
Otherwise a beautiful treck in nice weather. Actually soaking wet when I got back.

Lovely ski with mumsey at Nakkertok. Gently falling snow meant that the visibility was challenging at times but the snow conditions were excellent.

Gentle movement and lots of long stretches. Hips still a bit stiff from my first skate on Thursday.

Lovely ski with Jennie and Emil in the lower (flattish) Gats. Tracks were super. The gang was patient with me since I had to stop a few times to relax the leg.

MU gentle class all by myself. Not nearly as much fun as working out together!

First skate on the canal in 2 years on a beautiful day. Hips OK, balance Ok, right ankle a big pain. Had to stop several times to let the leg relax. Good thing they have many extra benches along the way.

Feeling tired today so I joined the MU class for the first 15 minutes of stretching only. Shoveled some snow too, for a bit more exercise. Need to start extending the cardio before spring and the mapping season.
The walk was the extended Coleman loop.

Nice little ski with Mumsey on the SJAM on a very snowy day. Ankle really bugged me. Had to stop a few times.

Tough class on the hips and glutes. My left Adductors were bugging me last night. They feel better now after all the stretching.

Tracked the new south loop at Nakkertok and then retraced the east loop where the dog sledders have obliterated part of the trail with their grooming sleds.

Nice ski with mumsey at Nakkertok. Trails were a bit hard but the temperature was perfect until the snow storm moved in. I am way out of XC ski shape!
