Trail run 20:00 [2] 1.6 km (12:30 / km) +200m 7:42 / km

Actually it was mainly power walk up to the start with ~200m climb :) Arrived just in time for SI stick clear and some stretching.

Orienteering race 1:04:00 [3] ***** 6.9 km (9:17 / km) +260m 7:48 / km
spiked:6/13c

Second day of 2010 USA Classic Champs. Started again deliberatly slow but still had troubles as yesterday with keeping track. Had to use my second thumb sometimes to literally follow my route. Still too many small mistakes and lots of hesitations. Even lost to Sam on RedY course :) ~1 minute on #3 and ~1 minute on #9 on parallel features. And about 5 more of 20-30 second bobbles on other controls. First in the class as Grisha made more mistakes. 55-56 minutes would be optimal. Downhill from #9 was eye popping. I slided in couple places as my spikes would not hold. Nice terrain, good map, and challenging courses by CNYO!

Trail run 20:00 [2] 2.0 km (10:00 / km) +150m 7:16 / km

Warmup as light jog uphill to the start and around.

Orienteering race 1:02:50 [3] ***** 6.9 km (9:06 / km) +280m 7:34 / km
spiked:8/16c

First day of 2010 USA Classic Champs. Slow going. My heartrate didn't go above 3 level. Probably the best technical terrain in the USA we experienced so far. Lots of fun! Had troubles with generalization and keeping track in places. Made about 7-8 minutes of mistakes, especially on #1 (~ 1minute for slow going), #4 (~3 minutes parallel error), and #15 (~ 1 minute went too low, overshot, and had to come back). Others just bobbles and a lot of hesitation in places. Good time would be 54-55 minutes or so for clean race. I, probably, deliberatly slowed too much but it was good as I didn't risk too much. First in class but lost ~4 minutes to Hammer and a little bit less to some visting Swiss guy. And Sam logged almost same time on parallel RedY course. Which shows that she definitely entered world elite level :) Over 1:30 margin on Grisha before second day.
