MTBO Vic Sprint Champs. To top off the weekend, along with the two cancelled races, my chain broke at Control 13 of 22. Decided it would take too long in a sprint to fix so decided I should DNF. After having passed a few of those who started before me I thought I’d push and coast until they all went past and see where I was then. Ended up 6th. May have managed 5th if I had concentrated a bit more on navigation while I was pushing. More nav mistakes walking than riding flat out.

Great event location, fairways making navigation a bit of a challenge.

New MTB park at Harcourt. Very dry and dusty. Quite hilly made more of an issue by front derailleur not working and Tim H being on his ebike.

Disappointed in driving all this way and Vic Long Champs cancelled due to total fire ban tomorrow. Severe fire rating for Sunday as well but no total fire ban yet. Fingers crossed.
