Orienteering race (SE Relays - leg 2) 17:30 [3] 3.62 km (4:50 / km) +3m 4:49 / km
shoes: Adistar Boost - Blue

Not feeling in the best shape - bad nights sleep and feeling run down after a busy week, but enjoyed it.

My kind of race fat and flat although nowhere near my pace of last year - still slowly slowly...

Was a bit wobbly through first 4 as not settled into the scale and was alright after that, went off in 6th and brought us in touch with second

Orienteering race (SE Relays Leg 5) 17:30 [3] 3.79 mi (4:37 / mi) +3m 4:36 / mi
shoes: Adistar Boost - Blue

So what do you want in your middle leg runner - consistency and I at least achieved that with perfect splits on both legs- pretty solid run, nav wasn't hard but just no legs.

Brought us in 2nd but not really in touch with the leaders and Duncan brought us in for silver overall, second SE medal of the year - just got to earn a gold somewhere.

Now from a team point of view if we'd had Eoin in instead of me, we might well have won as he had two seriously good runs and he's definitely got a good turn of pace at the moment and took about 3 min out of me overall I think - definitely a player for the park race series if he can keep it up.

Enjoyable racing, just slightly sore now

Orienteering race (Richmond night o) 42:32 [4] 8.3 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: VJ Irocks

Good little race, not really feeling up for it before

And the pace at the off was fast, took it easy tucking on behind Mr Owens for a bit and concentrated on not Mis punching but struggled to keep the pace immediately.

Kept going though and found myself just behind Matthais on one of the later loops which was handy but couldn't hold him

Fun race and happy with 14th in current fitness just need to start training regularly again as faded badly towards the end
