From vinces to home after a good day at the races

Orienteering race (SEOA Sprints Race 2) 14:10 [5] 1.83 mi (7:44 / mi)
shoes: adizero tempo 5

Much much better race, started solidly and built, keeping in touch with Matthias splits wise and taking a few fastest legs - SN data is incomplete again but seem to have choked on #15 which I knew on the day went for the wood option rather than the path and dropped circa 30seconds which would have put me 2nd in this heat and 3rd SEOA overall which I lost to Timmeo by 10 seconds, but still after the 1st heat I was well off so happy to have pulled back this much really.

Orienteering race (SEOA Sprints Race 1) 16:42 [4] 2.03 mi (8:14 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine

Blew this race - looked at the first one and thought - easy no dramas, then promptly overshot and ran around for a min looking for it. Although how I wasted this much time when it was straight off a strong attackpoint and a major path as a catching feature just the other side of it... due to this was flustered and fumbled the next two. Unfortunately due to SN's inabilty with technology we don't have splits for these legs and they've only loaded the data the simple way so would have to work out leg positions manually - which is annoying as even splitsbrowser has duff data in it!!!

Improved I think for the remainder of the course but without splits can't see for definite, held Evan off by 10 seconds even though I blew the start so ll good.

Annoyed with overall position though, nock off a min for #1 and I'm in the mix...

Orienteering race (SLOW street O series) 59:30 [4]
shoes: adizero tempo 5

Hard work tonight - hilly course and groin playing up, so pace was way off

Might have to take a rest for a couple of days

Orienteering race (Dorking Urban Race) 47:35 [4] *** 6.26 mi (7:36 / mi)
shoes: adizero tempo 5

Still full of cold and aching legs so went out to run steady and try and maintain focus/reduce errors.

Achieved aim fairly well, with only 1 proper error (ran into wrong dead end) and upon relection 1 poor route choice - cost approx 1 min and 30secs on dead end.

Main issue was speed and looking at splits fumbled a few, looking forward to route gadget - just about held evan off (by 16 secs) and took top SLOW honours on the day - I'll take that.
