Cycling 1:01:15 [3]
shoes: Dave Quinn

To Olympic training at McDonalds HQ in the McDonalds University - got lost on the way there and soaked on the way back - fun times, might get the tube to tonights race...

Orienteering race (Oak Hill Park Race) 24:09 [4]
shoes: Inov 8s - Oroc 280s

Quite a nice race - more wood than park though.

Was slower over the fast open stuff than usual, possibly a symptom of last nights hill work and then scrappy in the wood section (as usual) fastest leg on the 'uncrossable' stream route - blatently went straight over it - potential DQ right there and lost 30 seconds to a minute on No.17 where brain just switched off, about a minute down on rob in 1st , but onyl 9 seconds down on mark Ford in 4th

5th Overall, happy with that I suppose

Orienteering race (Bruges street race) 53:30 [5] 8.45 km (6:20 / km)
shoes: Sauconys Guide 4s

Mens open class pretty clean run - no real errors amounting to much, but 30 seconds lost at No.8 where there was an extra alley not mapped on the previous street that I spent time in and a bit clumsy around 9-10 where got suckered into the wrong corner of the wall 10 seconds? Other than that pretty good for me. Lost a few seconds smashing my head off a tree coming out of No.24 and running the remaining 7 controls with blood streaming down my afce, enjoyed scaring the tourists.

Was 14th overall, 1 second down on 13th and 1st Brit, holding Ollie off by 4 min, but couldn't have reached the top few on my current speed.

Good race

Orienteering race (Orienteering Biathlon) 17:34 [5] **
shoes: Sauconys Guide 4s

Fun concept, but unfortunately not competitive as emit wasn't working, consisted of 3 courses with some electronic shooting inbetween, not on top form dropped 4 shots overall, but was cracking fun
11 AM

Orienteering race (1st Bruges Sprint Race) 15:10 [5]
shoes: Sauconys Guide 4s

http://hamok.be/resultaten/20120602am1.html#HOPEN

1st race of the weekend - went pretty well, bit wobbly through the wooded sections and nearly mispunched at No.3 - two controls, depression and pit on either side of a tree each with a control in, lost 10 seconds here double checking. Other than that kept the pace up and came in 8th overall and 1st Brit. 55 secs up on Ollie and 2.10 down on the leaders.

Pretty happy

1st place Yannick MICHIELS - Belgium international 181st in the world
2nd place Pieter HENDRICKX - Belgium international 635th in the world
3rd place Tomas HENDRICKX - Belgium international 234th in the world
4th place Jeroen HOEKX - Belgium international 270th in the world
8th place - me well happy with that
7 PM

Orienteering race (Evening sprint race) 19:17 [5] ***
shoes: Sauconys Guide 4s

Another good sprint race, managed to go pretty hard with only a couple of wavers, think I was still pretty clean and mostly pretty top route choices, again position down to speed and two minor mistakes.

8th overall and top Brit again - 3.28 down on leader and 2.28 up on Ollie, not sure where I could of gained the 3 minutes.
