Orienteering - hard race 40:00 [4]

WOC relay, a third leg run. really nervous before this, and looking forwards to getting out into the forest and racing. adrenaline is good, i was moving well without much effort to start with, but my head wasn't moving at the same speed. I got everywhere quicker than expected, climbed extra and felt uncomfortable as it was my first time racing in this terrain after being injured during the week and last training camp. there were lots of stupid time losses. of course, as ever, all could have been avoided with better prep and planning. got a bit frustrated after the first controls didnt go well, and then tired in the end with a sore stomach, not the legs to stay with Eva on the last section and one more mistake meant i was getting caught by the pack behind me. not the greatest run, such a long way to go with all the parts of my racing (physical, technical, dealing with pressure situations), good thing i like training and want to work hard ;-)

mostly warm up (too early with this, again) and a bit of showing off of new shoes to mum and dad
