Camelbak packed with ice water and hydrolite powder, snacks and gels ready.
Arrived at 8:30 am. Got a park basically directly opposite the start!
I taped up my ankles (which is a first) rather than attempting to run for 6 hours in heavy ankle guards and this worked very well. Could feel the extra support especially a few times with small ankle rolls out on tracks.
My longest run in over a year and I was pleasantly surprised how I held up.
Also my first experience today taking running gels ... some of which were very appetising. Refilled 2 litre camelback twice so went through more than 5 litres of water. Glad it was only 28 degrees rather than 40 degrees like on Thursday!

Stopped for a 20 minute lunch and planning break just prior to Control #32.

First hour
Approx 6 km. Up to Control #61 (500 points)
Second hour
Approx 12 km. Up to Control #42 (960 points)
Third Hour
Approx 17 km. Up to Control #66 (1250 points due to lunch)
After that I lost my piece of paper I was recording on!
All of our respective watches / phones recorded differing distances between 29 and 34.5 km. I included my recorded distance.
Team of 3 functioned well as all carrying injuries. We all seemed to take turns motivating the others to jog versus run. Coady and Nicolle pushed me harder in the last hour and included a detour to get #51, #60 and #34 which I probably wouldn't have bothered with if solo as I was tired. So thanks to both of them for that.
