Orienteering - Bush (Martinsville) 22:16 [3] ** 1.25 km (17:49 / km)
5c shoes: Salomons June 2014

Stage 1
Memory Course
5 Controls
Nominal 0.9 km
With KC
Walked only. It wasn't as difficult as I expected due to the small map and short distances between controls.

Orienteering - Bush (Martinsville) 35:21 [3] *** 2.0 km (17:41 / km)
11c shoes: Salomons June 2014

Stage 2
Line Course
11 Controls
Nominal 1.3 km
With KC
Found this a real mind bender without having the controls marked on the map as kept seeing controls within sight of the line course but avoiding the temptation of going to check whether they were "ours".
Approached every control on the line course assuming that I had missed one in the sequence but go them all.
11 AM

Orienteering - Bush (Martinsville) 20:07 [3] *** 1.2 km (16:46 / km)
17c shoes: Salomons June 2014

Stage 4
Score Course
17 Controls
With KC
We didn't bother with all off them (just 10) and avoided a third round through the hill terrain (KC needs better shoes to avoid sliding around).

Note

One benefit of todays course .... gave me renewed enthusiasm for my own large block as nice and flat!

Gardening - General 2:30:00 [1]

Backdated a few waterfall photos from Adelaide to log.

7:40 am - 9:45 am
Continuing pulling out metal stakes. Hoped that the rainfall had loosened them up but its still proving to be hard work.

9:45 am - 10:10 am
Raking up leaves. Stopped as got sick of constant drizzle.
