Carwell's Labyrinth
Course #10. 19 Controls. Nominal Distance 4.8 km.
Came 3rd only 1:42 behind Shane Jenkins in 1st place.

#1 No issues apart from getting confidence in new area.

#4 Major time loss as was looking at bottom of cliff rather than top of cliff. Found Control #5 first and then realised it would have to be at the top. Shane basically recovered all his lost time over me here.

#6 Minor search but no issues.
#7 No issues.
#8 No issues.
#9 In correct location but a 50 m radius sweep around rocks looking for control.

Walk - Bush (Dunns Swamp) 3:00:00 [1]
shoes: New Balance Nov 2013

Time approximate.
Around Dunns Swamp after the morning event.
Rocks and pagodas were interesting as was the windy river and weir dammed to supply water to Kandos concrete plant in the 1930s.
Lots of people in kayaks but didn't end up hiring one.
Assume there is no way anything like this would get environmental permission these days.
