Quick run with Katie. Not too hot, but muggy. Again I started out very winded, but once I got going I felt better.
Indiana Jones 4: (1) Barely barely barely. It was cool, but I was disappointed. I have two specific complaints. First, after the first act, it needed a first step location where they advance the story, but where Indy loses something, and all hope appears lost. I suppose the graveyard scene is supposed to be this, but it's just not...enough. And second, the normal puzzle elements of the story seemed like complete afterthoughts. In the past, they've always drawn on bible stories or made up legends where they sell it as believable history. This one just didn't sell the intellectual part at all. I told my nephew it was a little better than the National Treasure movies, but not much, and he concurred.
After the Thin Man (1), from 1936. Very cool, very fun. While the best part of the movie is the banter between Nick and Nora, I am embarrassed to say that the most eyecatching part of the movie is a showgirl performance. While I'm certain the costumes passed the censors back in the day, they're almost fetish wear, in a leggy, poofy-short-skirt sort of way.
