Orienteering race 40:12 [5]

Club event at Waiwhakareke.
Excellent course setting for a relatively simple venue.

Worked hard and apart from a couple of tiny wobbles early on, I was very tidy through 90% of the course.
Got tired as it got hotter and made mistakes on the last 2 controls.
1 was had to spot in the small trees and I must have missed it by a fraction.
Lost 2-3 minutes because I was dumb and left the fast track and tried to follow the indistinct track.
Then checked out 4 stumps before I found the one I wanted.
I had the course lead with 2 controls to go and ended up 4th!!

Trek w some running 2:00:00 [2]

Checking out OMR O map with Jas. Run/walk/climb.

Pretty steep in there! But some small areas of forest carpet to enjoy!

Run race 23:03 [5]

5k Time Trial. gravel trail and road.
Was striving for Sub 23. Did the turn at 11:18 so ahead of schedule. Faded on the 4th km as the stars all burned past me. Thought I had it with 1k to go, but the clock ticked over 23 in the finish straight.
A bit disappointed, but I did gym work out the day prior which never helps the leg muscles.

Run 48:00 [3]

Sore from those drills on Tue.. (2 days later). So just went for a easy run around Forest Lake and then some roads. Felt pretty good except for the bit of soreness.
Knee a bit sore... but nothing particularly bad.
