Quick run around Leamington trails and streets. Met a guy doing the Cemetery steps, so challenged him to a race up!! Didn't let him catch me!

From Gym Club to Pukete MTB park. I could not remember exactly how to get there and took a dead end road at one point.
So faffed around abit getting there, but pushed harder on the way home. Assume it was about 10k

Orienteering race 25:26 [5]

Summer Series 4. Waikato Uni.
5th place overall... but over 2min down on my annoying little brother.

Didn't do much wrong.
Ran past a control by 30meters at one point. Made a couple of suboptimal route choices I think.
Puffed a fair bit on the early easy part of the course... Not puffing much through the middle of the course which means I was going slow to navigate.

Slowtwitch was a bit faster... all the Serious Sprint events paid dividends.

Run race 23:35 [5]

5k at racecourse. Felt pretty good actually. On my own pretty much the whole way which makes motivation hard.
Felt like I was able to pick it up after the turn (but possibly that just meant that I didn't slow too much!)
approx 50 seconds better than my previous effort 3 weeks ago in the stinking heat.

Note

Woke up and could not sit up in bed without the room spinning! Fell over the first time I got up!
Presumably low blood pressure.
Got breakfast in bed out of it and then seemed to come right!

Thought I better give training a miss
