0.13 sq km today - exceptionally open woods, solid contours. And then some trail/stream mapping - a bit thicker on the eastern side, will be quite a bit slower over there. And the powerline has seen some serious clearing - actual is about 22m wider than the 2016 aerials/lidar run. And of course all that newly opened area is totally crap vegetation. Which I guess makes mapping easier - just a lot of fight undergrowth with a few trails / openings mapped through..

Rain was forecast, so didn't go mapping. Then didn't materialize, but by then I got onto other projects - garden, basemap drafting etc. Didn't get out for any aerobic exercise either. Not even a walk. Dang.

Had to fetch a prescription at Pharmacy in Storrs. Didn't feel like driving there, needed some exercise, and had time to spare so hopped on the bike for some back road meanderings. Warm out, 80F and only took one 16oz bottle which was a mistake. Forgot my mask too, so couldn't duck in to Cumby's or anything.

Scouting expedition with tablet in hand to JB Williams Park in Glastonbury that Tori was asking about a few days ago. Wound up being a Paul Pearson/NEOC-CT project, but never made it into the NEOC map archives. I'd never heard of it, but I did find some permanent markers from NEOC with Pauls address on them.

Nice small park (0.6km), mostly open woods, useful topography, very little in the way of point features. A few marshes/ponds, well developed trail network. Good parking, but probably only useful for beginner meets owing to the size and lack of really technical terrain.

But would be a fairly quick map to make me thinks, so I think I will undertake that as a quickie project before the woods get too sticky for mapping..
