Steamy, but only going to get worse later, so out the door to get it done. A satisfactory effort, with a few walking breaks, but mostly a steady paced run, which was the goal for today.

Anchor Down training with the gang. Ran first 2 miles or so, then settled into my race pace - ie mostly brisk walking. A solid hour long deluge mid run, first part got pretty wet, then grabbed umbrella when passing the car. Running with umbrella actually made things quite tolerable. About half road, about half trail on the old trolley line which during and following the rain was pretty much just a very long, fairly deep, linear puddle. Splish, splash...

{edit} The deluge we got spawned two confirmed tornadoes - one a bit east of here in Woodstock, and another just over the line up in Webster, MA.

In New Haven & New York visiting more greenhouses. Lots of walking, followed by a few trains and a bus trip to get back to Storrs. Only measured the last walk up Discovery Drive to retrieve the car.
