Conditions were about what the current forecast is calling for next weekend, so out about an hour at optimistic race pace. Came across 3 groups of turkeys, so a good run in terms of gobbler quotient. Inside groin still tight, but running doesn't seem to aggravate nor appease it, so will go with vitamin I and hope it stays that way for the long haul.

Early run out to lake and back at 7 hour pace. Not that I'll be doing that, but wanted to get a feel for it and see where the engine (HR) ran. And now off to Maine again, this time to take down Anna's thesis exhibition. Next weekends trip to Maine will be for the race (and to move Anna into temporary housing for an archaeology dig she will be helping with).

Low 80s, sunny, humid. Long, easy run at 8 hour pacing, keeping the total under my self imposed taper limit of 10 miles. HR a bit higher than I'd like, but that's probably attributable to warmer temps. That and not carrying any hydration.
