Orienteering race 49:58 [5] 9.78 km (5:07 / km) +300m 4:26 / km

London City Race. 12th on Mens Vets (won by Ravinous in just over 43). Enjoyed my run and pretty happy with most of it - lost 20" in a traffic jam following slow moving traffic to 2, 20" hesitation at 11, didn't get the shortest option at 9, went wrong way out of tunnel on 13, but generally good - then blew I think 2 mins going to 25. I had seen the correct route anticlockwise around the periphery of the building but when I saw steps up I had expected steps down and didn't follow them, ending up going down the ramps and round via 26 - with more hesitation. Would have gained a few places without that.

So, all good fun. My legs were still tired from the start (particularly up stairs) but the double rest days look like they are doing something. I think I felt a little better than last Sunday. I'll keep them up.

TT, hill reps on AS, with the descending fog fitting the uncertainty as the referendum voting stations approached closing time. 12 x 1" hill reps, didn't go flat out as would like to be in good form on Sunday.

Thinking that I should do some prep for the GSR, but needing to do less not more, went for an easy 90 mins - very pleasant, trying not to look at GPS or worry about the speed. Surprisingly that's apparently the fastest I've logged the climb up Queens Drive anticlockwise, which must say something positive.
