Trail running 32:00 [2] 2.6 mi (12:19 / mi)
shoes: North Face

Very slow jog around the Pumpkin loop at CNF. It's the first time I have run in over a week, and it felt quite weak and slow. Lungs are recovering, but pretty slowly; hopefully in time to enjoy Sleepy Hollow.

Paddling 1:15:00 [1] 2.0 mi (37:30 / mi)

Very gentle paddle on Jordan Lake, leaving from Parker's Creek boat launch. The girls took it easy on me because I still sound sick, and they let me use the good kayak and good paddle, which was significantly easier to paddle. Great day to be out.

Hike 1:30:00 [2] 3.5 mi (25:43 / mi)

I'm feeling a little better today, so I decided to check out Little River park near Hillsborough for its suitability for mapping and holding events. It's a very good thing that I decided not to head up to work in KY because the easy gentle 3 mile hike, with maybe 60m of climb, felt like a tremendously hard workout. My lungs clearly haven't yet recovered from their issues this week. But I'm really glad that I checked this park out, because it is really a gem. Good relief -- not crazy steep, but interesting enough. A fair bit of space (600 acres), about half of which is covered in twisty single track bike trails. Relatively open woods, little understory, fair bit of parking space, nice shelter with water and electric, bathrooms, etc. Definitely falls on my list of places that BOK needs to map.
